Support for Melbourne businesses

Like many Melbourne businesses, we’ve made the shift to working completely remotely. It’s working pretty well. But, we’re definitely missing the little things that make our Abbotsford office feel like home. Dropping into Blume for a great coffee and an even better chat. Over-catering a meetup with Rita’s delicious pizza. Trying – and failing – to decide which beer is Bodriggy’s best (hint: they’re all great).

Today’s world is bringing challenges to our local community, with widespread store closures and social distancing restrictions.

We’re very much looking forward to walking through the doors of our favourite businesses again. So we’ve put together this list of grants and other resources that may help you through this tough time. We hope it’s useful – and that we’ll see you soon!

A Business Support Fund, by the Victorian Government, offers up to $10,000 for businesses that employ staff and have been forced to close – or are highly impacted – by the COVID-19 restrictions.

There’s additional support offered by local councils and businesses. Here’s some we’ve found:

We’ve developed a program to help grant recipients move online – and get up for continued success. You can read more about it here.

Do you know of a grant or other support that’s not listed? Please let us know, so we can share it with our community.
